  I had lasek surgery about 6 months ago and Dr Alison Rand did my procedure. She has wonderful bedside manners and is so warm and friendly and makes you feel comfortable to ask any questions. All of the staff have been so friendly over the past 6 months of follow ups - always so accommodating. The only complaint is that wait times can be hours at a time - but this is usually because they bring in a bus of patients a day that they pick up (those who don't have transportation) and they fit them in the day - as well they see eye emergency cases on a daily basis which takes priority over appointments. If possible, take a day or even half day off when you have an appointment. They have wifi also, so best to bring your laptop or books or any work that can get done while waiting. Would be a good idea to bring some snacks too! Sometimes the staff hand out snacks to patients in the waiting room . Best thing is to take an early morning appointment - as the earlier you go the less the wait time. It is worth it though in my opinion - as the staff and doctors take wonderful care of their patients. The institute also does a lot of charity work and training of young and upcoming physicians which is admirable. They truly have a passion and a heart for eye care and may God continue to bless them and the institute for many more decades to come!

  Rand Eye is a factory but they run it pretty smoothly and although the waits can be ridiculous, they have an excellent rep for surgical quality. But I'm not sure about the quality of the exam process. One week, I had vision test done by tech and it was clearly a major change from previous visit a year ago...and which I knew from ongoing sight problems I was experiencing. Dr A Rand saw some retinal problems so before discussing any treatment, she suggested I see a retinal specialist. Which I did the very next week....and guess what, the tech working for the specialist put me through another vision test and said I scored 20/20. Someone who needs a magnifying glass to read the paper doesn't score 20/20 !!

  They could care less about patients. Horrible place. I would let my dog go there for treatment. Just got a letter from them saying that they would no longer accept my wife for treatment. What a joke. She would never go back. Rather go blind that let those crooks touch her. Please don't make the same mistake by going there
